Rotorhead Resources Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a community for helicopter pilots from every angle of attack.

We foster an uplifting environment that covers how to get training started as well as how to stay up to date in the industry after years of experience.

Our mission is to proudly encourage pilot growth and safety at any stage in your aviation flight plan. The equation is simple: Our promise to provide clear, honest, valuable information + helicopter pilot experience & knowledge x industry reconnaissance =

a lift in all directions.

Starting from Zero:

A Downwash of Information

Some of us know at an early age that we were born to be aviators. Some of us learn later in life that we’d rather be in the skies.

Even less of the two want to pursue a career as a helicopter pilot.

Rotorhead Resources Inc. is here to help clear some of the haze on how to get started on your pursuit to be a rotorcraft rated pilot.

Student Pilots:

“A Good Pilot is Always Learning”

No matter where you’re on in your aviation journey- the key is to always stay learning- and to take interest in the unknown. This is a phrase you’ll constantly hear from your instructors, colleagues, employers and fellow aviators.

Now you’re ready to be a student pilot, or you may even have your student pilot certificate. But now you’ve found that helicopter information is hard to find, and most student / private pilot information available is airplane specific.

You want to learn, and you want to learn the right things.

Rotorhead Resources Inc. has compiled free materials we found helpful from our own student rotorcraft pilot / private rotorcraft pilot studies.

There is a substantial shortage of qualified helicopter pilots in the global industry, with a projected shortage of 61,000 pilots by 2038.

The demand for helicopter pilots is extremely high. A recent study by Boeing estimated that there will be a shortage of 59,000 helicopter pilots worldwide through 2037. This means that for at least the next 17 years (and probably much longer than that), good helicopter pilots are almost guaranteed a job.

The need for helicopter pilots is here and rapidly growing. Although difficult- it can be a beautiful pastime or a fulfilling career.
